The following dojos are part of the KAA:

  • Komyokan dojo (headquarters
  • Koteikan dojo, Durham
  • Cambridge dojo
  • Glasgow dojo
  • Canterbury dojo

 

Komyokan Aikido Association collects the following information about our students:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Phone Number
  • Email address
  • Date of Birth
  • Emergency contact(s)
  • Health information in case of accident or emergency.
  • Extra contacts for juniors (named responsible adults)

 

This information is collected through the Membership form and Health forms completed on application. The Membership form is renewed every year.

No data is collected from any third party.

This data is required for the safe and efficient running of the KAA so we can contact members for legitimate purposes.

Name and age group information will be passed to the JAC (governing body) for insurance purposes. Details of Dan grades are also made known to the JAC and Hombu Dojo, World Headquarters.

In line with our safeguarding practices, we may share information with official bodies if required to do so.

All data is stored securely.

Personal data will be destroyed if a student has ceased training, except for any information relating to insurance, which must be kept for a statutory period of 7 years. Paper records will be cross-shredded.

If have a data privacy issue or complaint, please contact the secretary. All complaints will be replied to within a month.
